Art ?

Wes will look at art movements and styles that have resonance with DA, especially the Pre Raphaelites, Vanitas and Momento Mori. What artists inspire you? Taking your own photographs

Clothes?

You really don’t need to dress DA to enjoy it. You can also subtly displaying your loyalty or embrace the whole look. We will look at colours, materials and styles. Whatever your preferences and budget we can discuss.

Nature ?

Landscapes, townscapes even flowers and plants can carry the DA vibe. We will discuss locations and wildlife to stimulate our DA creativity.

Accessories?

Accessories are also part of the DA look. We can look at everything from socks and belts to glasses and bags. We will reference DA icons, hair styles and cosmetics.

Seasons ?

What is the perfect time of year for the Dark Academia vibe? How to celebrate and enjoy this time. Summer and DA? What works. Ideas for all year round.

Props ?

DA clothing might not be you, but what about a bit of understated DA glamour at home, a shelf scape or desk? Some props are expensive but others much more accessible. We will create a spot list to include old technology, dining, writing and symbols of academia.
